As I mentioned on Friday’s Year in Review: Create, during these last few days of 2014 I’m taking stock of the past year (as many of us do). This has been my first year of blogging full-time, working each week to bring mes amies inspiring content in the premiere areas of Create, Connect and Celebrate (and learning a lot along the way!).
Today I’m focusing on the Connections – the Bon Voyage and Discover DC posts that share my adventures in new places and my hometown favorites, helping to connect Mes Amies with new destinations, travel advice and maybe even new friends!
First up, travel posts in the Bon Voyage feature:
The most popular Travel post of the year was, surprisingly enough, not any of my adventures in Paris or other destinations, but rather Mon Amye’s musings on The Shoebox Effect. I’ve actually been contemplating a Shoebox follow-up post, so that will definitely be coming in 2015. The Shoebox post was followed in popularity by the European Bucket List and, closely behind, 4 Bucket List Items for France. I’m so glad mes amies like to dream and plan along with me!
My personal favorite Bon Voyage posts, though, were reminiscing about our wonderful trip to France [find all the France posts via that link]. I’ve loved looking back, reliving the moments and sharing our experience and advice with mes amies. Almost as good as actually being in Paris again f- almost!
Then, the series of Discover DC posts:
The most popular Discover DC for 2014 was, by far, my review of the new Second State Restaurant – which was also one of the most fun for me to reconnect with my Pennsylvania roots! In the Discover series I’ve visited restaurants, local sites (here, here, and here) and seen a world premier show! It has been so fun sharing my DC favorites with you, and I’ve got plans to expand the Discover series in 2015 so stay tuned (and if you’re a travel blogger interested in collaborating, I’d love to share more with you – write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org!)
Which Connect (Bon Voyage or Discover DC) post was your favorite in 2014? Anything you’d like to see more of in the year ahead? I’d love any feedback from you as I plan more adventures for Mes Amies to take with me in 2015!
