I hope Mes Amies had a very happy Christmas! We spent the day at home, and though we missed being with our families it was a truly lovely gift to ourselves to spend the holiday in this way. Cozy, quiet and oh so relaxing.
Now, as we wrap up this last week of 2014, I wanted to take stock of the past year (as many of us do). This has been my first year of blogging full-time, working each week to bring mes amies inspiring content in the premiere areas of Create, Connect and Celebrate (and learning a lot along the way!).
Today is the first of my Year-in-Review posts, this one focused on Create – the recipes, DIY and home decor projects featured on Mon Amye this year.
You’ll find all of the DIY and home decor projects of the year here:
[update: Right now I can’t get my nifty images to show here – but you can find it all by clicking DIY on the sidebar Category menu.]
The most popular Create post of the year – in fact, the most popular post overall! – was the DIY Headboard Part 1 and Part 2. We actually left this headboard behind when we moved, so a few new Master Bedroom projects are being planned for 2015. The Headboard project was followed in popularity by the Pantry + Laundry Room Makeover, which was our first project in the new house. My personal favorite, though has been the Entryway – makes me smile every time I pass through!
If you’re looking for inspiration in the kitchen after all the holiday basting and baking, you can find all of Mon Amye’s recipes over on the Bon Appetit page.
The most popular recipe for 2014 was definitely the Vanilla Cupcakes with Fresh Strawberry Buttercream Frosting. That frosting is truly one of my best-ever, and I can’t wait to bring Mes Amies more sweet treats next year.
Which Create (recipe, DIY or home decor) post on Mon Amye was your favorite in 2014? Anything you’d like to see more of in the year ahead? I’d love any feedback from you as I plan for Mes Amies in 2015! (More reviews to come – stay tuned!)
