As I was preparing for the first-ever Giveaway that opened earlier this week (have you entered yet? Deadline is this Sunday night, 11:59pm EST so hop to it!) I came to a surprising realization.
For all of the Bon Voyage and Discover posts that I’ve shared (you can find a list of them all here), I have not shared much at all from the great Northeast:
- Scenes from New England
- FDR’s Home in Hyde Park, NY
- Discover: Princeton, NJ with Lindsay | As Gold As It Gets
Just three posts, after more than two decades?
From a Pennsylvania girl, who fell in love with a Boston boy, this is just unacceptable. I love the Northeastern states with all of their quirky history and changing seasons and embedded traditions.
Maybe this is a case of being “too close” – I take it for granted since I’ve always resided in this region. But that’s got to change, so I’m making a pact to share some more of Amye’s Adventures in the Northeast here in the months to come.
I’ve been re-inspired by flipping through my copy of 36 Hours USA & Canada: Northeast. Chock full of potential adventures to both places I’ve visited, and new destinations. I’m a big fan of this guide, so much so that I’m giving away 2 copies to mes amies.
Be sure to sign up for my mailing list (I promise not to be a bother!) for your chance to win one of the 36 Hours travel guides – winners selected on Monday!
