Bonjour, mes amies!
I’ve been away for most of the past few weeks – seeing new sights, a few work trips, celebrating our anniversary and visiting family and friends. Whew! It feels good to have finally unpacked my suitcase for a few weeks back here in DC.
If you follow along on Instagram you know I’ve been sharing my travels there while the blog has been quiet. I knew mes amies would understand that I needed to prioritize, well, life! for a few weeks over sharing in this space.
But I’m back now, and all of these travels have re-inspired my commitment to this blog. Its a good reminder to take some time away on occasion, to remember why you got started in the first place.
Not only that, but it has given me fresh eyes for our home and the pending projects I have been putting off. I have a feeling this next season will be a time of exciting home improvements!
I’m so grateful that you are here, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead for Mon Amye. Stay tuned!
For now, a few “postcards” from my travels this summer:
A quick daytrip to Charlottesville, VA with my colleagues:
Visited the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills, studio tours and more on our mother-daughter trip to Los Angeles!
Spent our Anniversary weekend at the cutest B&B in Virginia Beach:
Visited family during a quick Cape afternoon after a hometown wedding in Plymouth, MA:
All that, plus a bridal shower in PA and a road-trip-stop in Providence, RI. Whew! I’m glad to be off the road to enjoy the last few weeks of summer here in DC until our next wedding trip.
Have you taken a summer road trip recently? What’s your favorite road trip destination?
