As our Master Bedroom Makeover continues (see the latest here) one of the mainstays of bedroom decor that we actually don’t need is a headboard. In this room there was an existing fireplace – sealed off, of course – whose mantle makes for a natural headboard in the master.
Knowing that we had the mantle, we actually left our last DIY headboard (my most popular DIY ever) in the apartment for the next resident.
So when my friends over at Hometalk asked me to roundup some inspiration in the headboard department, it actually made me wish we needed one! Check it out the creative headboards over on my Headboard Inspiration board:
If you’re not familiar, Hometalk is a social site for home and garden – basically Pinterest with a focus. I discovered Hometalk when looking for some design inspiration for our new home, and have been impressed with the sense of community on the site. You can follow me on both Pinterest and Hometalk with these links.
On Hometalk you can search for home and DIY inspiration, and you get a little more content than simply an image can offer. You can also pose questions, and share your own projects (whether or not you have a blog).
So, check out my Headboard Inspiration Clipboard for these and more headboard inspiration projects– these contributors are incredibly creative! I mean, vertical blinds as headboard! Shutter headboards with backlighting! Nail tufted drop cloths! Truly an incredibly talented bunch.
Let me know what you do with the inspiration you find on Hometalk, Mes Amies!
