Hello mes amis, and happy June! I’m back today after a week bopping around New England. My husband and I spent some time with family on the Cape, with friends in Boston, and finished up by celebrating a wedding in New Hampshire.
Some scenes from our week – via iphone camera, since I’m a #badblogger and forgot the good camera. (If you follow @amyemae on Instagram, you might have caught a few other sneak peeks of our trip):
View of Boston from the ferry to the Cape (We hopped on planes, trains, automobiles and even boats to get around!)
Classic Cape style at a family favorite seafood restaurant.
Starting summer with a date to the Drive-In movies!
Back in Boston, a visit to Harvard’s campus. It was leading up to graduation day, so everything was decked out in Crimson! (and apparently that same day I missed Mindy Kaling’s Commencement speech at Harvard Law School. Boo. Mindy, let’s plan better next time so we can hang out!)
And from the Longfellow house, where the poet wrote The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, over to…well, the Paul Revere House of course!
And the cap to our New England adventure: a wedding in the most perfectly quintessential New England church:
and a drive around the Lakes Region of New Hampshire:
Hope you enjoyed these scenes from our New England adventure!
I leave you with this tidbit: if you thought they refer to Boston as “Beantown” because of the Boston Tea Party (tea… Coffee beans… Amiright?!) then you and I would both be wrong.
P.S. Want more details from our travels? I am thinking about sharing more detailed itineraries and travel recommendations if you’re interested, mes amis! Let me know!
